Good to know

Before you book.

Everything that affects your journey, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, message us before booking and we will answer properly.

Is hotel accommodation included?+

No, and you will not need it from us. Both days start and finish at your own hotel within Tokyo’s 23 wards, so you sleep in the same bed both nights and never pack a bag. That keeps the price down and means you can book the hotel you actually want.

How long is each day, and what time is pickup?+

Each touring day runs roughly 10 hours from pickup to drop-off. Pickup is normally between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, and you can choose a different time for each of the two days. Exact times are confirmed after booking.

Do the two days have to be consecutive?+

Most guests book them back to back, and the itinerary is designed that way. If you would rather leave a rest day in between, ask us before booking and we will confirm whether your dates can be arranged.

Can we change what we see?+

Entirely. Fourteen stops across two days is a generous menu, not a fixed schedule. A comfortable day fits five or six. Tell your guide what matters and the route is rebuilt around it, on either day.

What if Mt. Fuji is not visible on day two?+

Fuji’s visibility depends on weather and season and cannot be guaranteed. Your guide plans around the day’s conditions. The 5th Station road, the Hakone Ropeway and the Lake Ashi cruise also follow seasonal access and maintenance schedules. If one is closed, there is always a good alternative nearby.

What about luggage?+

Light luggage is fine in the vehicle. If you are travelling with large suitcases, arriving or departing on a touring day for instance, tell us in advance so the right vehicle is assigned.

Are children welcome, and are child seats available?+

Yes. Child seats are available on request. Please tell us in advance, with each child’s age, so the correct seat is fitted for both days.

Where can you pick me up, and are there rules in the vehicle?+

One pickup and one drop-off within Tokyo’s 23 wards are included on each day: hotels, apartments or stations. Pickup from other locations can usually be arranged for an additional fee. Airport and cruise terminal transfers are a separate service, bookable from our Transfers page. For everyone’s comfort and safety, smoking, alcohol, fireworks and hazardous items are not permitted inside the vehicle.

What is the cancellation policy?+

Cancellations 72 hours or more before the start time receive a 95% refund. Cancellations 24–72 hours before receive an 80% refund. Cancellations under 24 hours are non-refundable. These percentages are final and already account for transaction and refund-processing costs. Booking changes are subject to availability.
